Open Beta party?

Well, hopefully people are interested. We'll need to figure out roughly how many people. And then find a venue. Preferably with internet access. And desk space. And outlets. I mean, sure, we'll be there to hang out and meet each other, but let's be realistic. This is the kind of party you bring your laptop to. (How else are we all going to buy accounts the moment the payment system comes online?)

Thoughts?

I'm a Union Square girl myself; we've got plenty of Starbucks in the area, of course, and after a certain hour it thins out there. If that helps? ^_^;;

Nooo idea, but i could probably ask my boss. She'd probably know a laptop-friendly bar or something.

V-bar at 255 Sullivan has wifi, coffee, and booze. And Blind Tiger, at 281 Bleecker, has wifi, amazing beer, decent pub food, but gets crowded sometimes.

(also, thank god, you started this community; I was whining in #dw the other day about how I wanted a DW NYC comm but didn't have time to run it.)
